Kiddie Krafts Preschool is ready for you to join us!
Registration for New Families and Siblings Opens January 27, 2025
Our goal at Kiddie Krafts Preschool is to teach children to grow from the world around them. We want them to think, create, engage, and explore with their entire body. We encourage children to gain information from their friends as well as teacher. We can all learn from each other.
At Kiddie Krafts preschool, children engage in both indoor and outdoor play. By utilizing the outdoors, children will have activities and classroom experiences expand to the outdoor classroom. We want the outdoors to be an extension of our learning.
Kiddie Krafts Preschool will utilize Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio-Emilia methods. By combining the best from these methods the learning will stem from the children. Children learn best through play and experiences. At Kiddie Krafts we focus on independence, self-help skills, responsibility to others, a passion for learning, inclusiveness, and inner motivation. We want children to learn to be creative, empathetic, independent, confident, and curious. Children are curious by nature and we want to expand on that artistically, physically, emotionally, and socially.
We are licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Child Care Licensing and we are a part of the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (TXAEYC).
Our emergent curriculum will focus on using the Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio-Emilia approaches to learning. The experiences each day will focus on using the children in the classroom as a source of information. The teachers are able to expand on that information through the experiences with the children. Teachers will document children’s learning using pictures, notes, and videos. Children’s learning will focus on the process rather than the end result. Learning process projects may have more than one step and may take a few days to a few weeks to complete. Children will have the chance for cooking, art, science, and gardening.
Within our program, we celebrate all holidays. We are non-denominational and work alongside families as we celebrate holidays, cultures, and special family celebrations. We teach with a secular teaching of the holidays.
We believe that to have a great program you need a great staff to implement it. Our staff is here to ensure the safety of your child as well as love and provide guidance for them. Our educators have degrees ranging from a Child Associate's Degree (CDA) to a Master's Degree. Every two years our staff goes through CPR and First Aid training. All staff are trained before the school year begins as well as monthly trainings for a minimum of 24 hours of training from September-May. We hand pick all our staff to ensure your child is in good hands. All of our staff goes through a screening process including background checks and fingerprinting in accordance with the Minimum Standards of the Texas Department of Health and Human Services. You can be sure your child is in the best of hands while at Kiddie Krafts Preschool!
We are located inside Highlands Christian Church off McCree Road. We have a very expansive outside learning space where the children are able to play in sandboxes, mud kitchens, sports, gardening, tree climbing, mud pits, outside classrooms, and more!
Our son loves going to KKP every morning. He’s excited to see his friends and teachers. The school does an excellent job at building a community where parents can be as involved as they like. We are super happy with our choice.
Reid S (parent of a 17 month old)
Our daughter has flourished at KKP! We’ve watched her build her confidence, gain new skills, and develop sweet friendships. The teachers and staff are incredible and create a great learning environment curated for the kids.
Allison W (parent of a 2 year old and soon to be KKP student)
We could not be more thankful for KKP. It’s so special to drop our son off somewhere where teachers across age levels know him, care about us, and are so invested in his childhood experience. We’ve been incredibly lucky with all our teachers, classmates, and the environment that KKP provides!
Jordan T (parent of a 2.5 year old)
Kiddie Krafts is a breath of fresh air! It is so nice to finally have found a place that truly sees and appreciates children at the stage they are at, builds them up, and works with parents to come up with solutions that treat everyone with kindness, love, and respect. I know my child is treated with so much love at this school and I have seen her academics and social skills take off since starting at KKP. She is very happy here and I am so grateful that Kiddie Krafts is here for us!

Kiddie Krafts has been the most formative and rewarding play-based nature program for my 3 girls. They have been encouraged to create, dig in the mud and jump in puddles. All the staff knows their names and greets them every day. They can wear princess dresses one day and a tiger costume the next, and their individuality is celebrated. The diversity amongst all students and people of the world is taught and valued. They are cultivating a culture of love and respect for all humans. It is the truly the most special preschool in Lake Highlands, and likely all of Dallas. We are so lucky to be a part of it.
Kristin K (parent of a 2 year old, 4 year old, and graduated 2024)
We have been so fortunate to find Kiddie Kraft Preschool. I have loved getting to see my child grow in her confidence and find her independence and personality. It’s so comforting to know that she is safe, loved, accepted, and nurtured by everyone there. Seeing her walk in the building with a smile, and having her greeted by other teachers and staff that are not in her room is so special and hard to find. I love knowing that she has the freedom to explore her environment and that Kiddie Kraft uses multiple teaching methodologies to facilitate learning and growth. Being in the mental health field, finding a place for my child that emphasizes child-led learning, creativity, and exploration was important to me, and it can be hard to find a place that encompasses it all, but Kiddie Kraft does it all!
Gaby G (parent of a 18month old and a soon to be KKP student)
Kiddie Krafts has provided an amazing learning environment for our little one! They provide so many activities for all ages. We love that they spend time outside as much as possible and even the youngest babies get to participate in outdoor fun. From the directors, to the teachers, and all of the other staff you can sense the pride and care that they put into the children everyday.
